Yanni Hufnagel has shuffled around the college basketball landscape as an assistant coach. He is known for his energetic personality being young and his talent for recruiting players, along with his passion for the game and being a coach. Others have praised him about how he is always on the move and always striving to improve each day. Yanni Hufnagel has had stints as a coach for Oklahoma, Harvard, and Vanderbilt. The assistant coach has become one of the best in the business over time. Even as a young individual, people noticed he had a gift as he was contributing to broadcasts as a 16-year-old analyst when he was cut from a varsity team. Hufnagel would analyze games with an extensive knowledge even at so young of an age and later down the line got involved in college as a student manager at Cornell, but started coaching when he got to Oklahoma. Yanni Hufnagel has even worked with proven NBA stars in the league today like Blake Griffin and Jeremy Lin working as an assistant coach and graduate assistant. The coach believes that luck plays a part in it all and also thinks a turning point for him was working with Griffin and under Jim Capel. Yanni Hufnagel though got experience coaching for Harvard and forming relationships with the athletes and other friends. The assistant coach has been able to make a difference in many athletes lives with his advice and support. Then he coached for Vanderbilt but then moved to coach in California after getting a job offer. The 31-year-old believed that going to California was another essential step in his journey to gain more experience and get more opportunities to coach. Yanni Hufnagel hopes to help out his new coach at California, that is his current objective. The coach continues to improve along with his journey and look for new opportunities.
